A HARD RAINS A GONNA FALL

There's a fog up on L.A.,
And my friends have lost their way!
We'll be over soon they said,
Now they've lost themselves instead
George Harrison(Beatles- Blue Jay Way)
What have you heard about India, i asked them all. They answered in unison its a circus, its a circus which now has lost its way.A sincere and honest man jailed zealously gets the nation to stall. He had his chance before, but felt cheated. So he takes a fast unto death such that a bill is passed and years of ingrained corruption will vanish from the soul of this nation. The head honcho of this great nation , sits in catatonic posture, mute, replete with negativism and changes his posture to signify that he is alive. The ruling party is managed by an immature , impulsive scion of a dynasty. His claim to fame - he conjures dimples when he smiles.Did you know that we had an opposition party too. Heard of it? Its toothless, tasteless, formless and emanating the odour of a patient in the ICU. Yet, it has more clowns than the ones who presently govern us.
Tihar jail is the new place for soundbites as leaders make it their restroom. Oh and i forgot the woman who stormed the red bastion in the east. She changes the name of the state she governs. What fun the headmaster will announce my name a little earlier than before. What an accomplishment. I just traveled on the Kona Expressway. With craters that would put the ones on the moon, to shame, it requires a tank to negotiate it. A two hour jam for a 10 km stretch. Caused by the difficulty each vehicle had in maneuvering those dammed craters.I counted three ambulances stuck in this mess. Think about it, could she not have taken the repair as a priority post monsoons. Yet we debate ad nauseam about that naming. One can only speculate as to what happened in those ambulances, did they make it or not. And if they did not- so what come to the party, we are celebrating the creation of Paschim Banga. It is said that a nation deserves the leaders it produces. Yet this seems the nadir of a non functioning, stuporose administration. They started really well and have now lost their way. Its a circus out there, and we fund it. Priorities askew and with no focus, these great visionaries with cataracts plod along. W e have been lucky despite all of this, for someone squeaked that a new super power is on the rise. That voice has meekly surrendered. The circus clown puts on his topi or turban or whatever and we clap. This the best we have. Times running short for all and remember a hard rains a gonna fall
